Formed in North London in 1965, The Equals were a group of mates which consisted of the original line-up, Eddy Grant, Pat Lloyd, brothers Derv Gordon, Lincoln Gordon and John Hall.
In 1965 The Equals began gigging around London to amazing audiences by becoming the first mixed race band in Britain. The Equals reached No.1 for 6 weeks in UK with their song 'Baby Come Back' in 1968.
