Alaa Zouiten, born Morocco, is a masterful oud player and fusion musician. Rooted in classical Arabic and traditional Moroccan music, he relocated to Berlin, where he collaborates with diverse artists to craft a modern soundscape that transcends cultural hierarchies. Zouiten has released albums. he curates transcultural music projects, including the Gnaoua Festival Berlin and the Arab Song series.
